We sure had a cool Friday night out at our first showing at the “First Friday Artwalk” in Downtown Phoenix. It’s was such an honor for Largo Photography to think about us when their previous clients cancelled on Wednesday to use part of their studio. We thought it would be super fun and we were happy to all of those that met with us! We met some really cool people and their is always such great artwork at First Fridays!!! We were just so lucky to pull this off so with no real time to prepare!!!

Contest: Mother’s Day

05.12.2007 | News | 4 comments

**Today is the last day to nominate your Mothers for the Contest. We are going to announce the winner early tomorrow!!!**

*** We just put up new entries so scale down!!!***

Well, hopefully everyone is planning on getting ready for their personal “Mother’s Day.” Maddux and I have already thought of what to get Angie. If you have yet to find something cool, give us a try. We love to make our Mother’s look good!!! Our sessions start out at $350 and they are full of goodies!

We also have noticed that we don’t have a ton of time to thank our Mother’s before Sunday, but we would love to offer a little contest. When I was younger, I always would secretly write into those contests to “find the best Mother.” Sad to say that my mom has won every single time for the past 27 years.

Well, here is your chance to send us something good about your mother. We want a good 2-3 paragraphs and a recent photo about why your mother is the best thing since Chipotle Steak Burritos. We are going to offer one of three things they can choose:

1. Free Rekindle the Fire Session (Perfect for mom and dads or mom and boyfriends!)
2. Free Family Session (Let’s get the gang together and fire up the grill!)
3. Free Modeling Session (Mom’s love to show the camera love!)

Please send your entry to matt@sloanphotographers.com.

We are going to announce on our blog the winner sometime next week. Or if we receive enough entries, we’ll do it on Mother’s Day. We are going to completely waive our $350-$500 session fee. And they will get some blog love from us with their personal photo session and your personal 2-3 paragraph write-up!!! Everyone is eligible for this session, especially those in other countries, states, and other photographers. We would love to work with anyone!!! Well, except our own families since they already milk us enough for free photos ;) Also, any questions can be written in the comments section below.

We honestly can’t wait to hear from you guys!!!

Field Trip
La Quinta, CA

While I was at Coachella 2007, we needed a place to stay from Saturday to Sunday so we stayed at the La Quinta Resort & Spa. It’s a super old place close to Palm Springs and full of history. I woke up early and went shooting before breakfast.

***Be sure to check back for photos from Coachella 2007.***

Day After Session
Seville Country Club & Pecan Farms

We were so excited that Danica and Brennon were able to spend time with us to get some great photos. They were honestly full of ideas and we really want to thank them for executing everything so perfectly. We also loved just getting to know them better, and a day after session is so good because we love the time people invest in getting creative photographs.

Since they lived close to Queen Creek, it was perfect to hit up Seville Country Club and then head over to one of our favorite spots: The Pecan Farms. The Pecan Farms make us feel like we aren’t even in AZ and maybe in some other location. It was great this time because we saw the farms from a different location and found out some homes had been there since 1920’s on large farmland. It was also awesome that their friends had a couch we could use.

Thanks guys for your amazing beauty and easy-going personalities! We had a really great time with you.

We gave Brennon the chance to get a shot!

Not too bad Brennon!
